This course provides student with theory and hands-on experience necessary for a Machinist Setup and Operator position. Students will learn basic machine tool skills; identify components, measure parts and how to interpret blueprints.

***Equipment used by instructor and student: Book. Hands on training and practice will be taken at a machine shop.
The passing score to earn a certificate is 70% or higher on overall grade include Homework, Quiz, Midterm and final Test
No internship or externship is required.

Students will also learn how to operate, set up and debug Mill machines at the workshop*. Upon completion, students may be able to find positions such as Machinists and Machinist Operators.
